DAY 16: IT HAPPENED IN A MOMENT

It happened in a moment 

but it changed the world forever-

God's own Son became a helpless baby boy

From our sin He came to save us,

through His matchless love forgave us-

He's our Saviour and our everlasting joy.

Today is the last of 'The Twelve Day of Christmas' series, as the season the Christmastide ends today.  However, the challenge now is to make our Christmastide journey touch our daily lives. My final SIA of this Christmastide will be to spend some time to ponder this aspect. I will ask the faithful Joseph, the insightful Mary, those obedient shepherds and those wise men for spiritual illumination before I pack away the crib. Even those sheep and cattle might have something to say to me as well. However, it is Christ, the babe of Bethlehem who is the wonderful counsellor, mighty God and Prince of Peace.

So, as I close this series, which I hope you have found helpful in your Christmastide journey, I leave you with this thought:

Peace must be more than a word 

embossed upon our Christmas cards

echoed in the season's carols or painted on a storefront

It can be found only in a Person 

experience only in Presence 

For Christ, and Christ alone is our Peace.
