Practical Theology Series: The Victorious life of a Christian

The Victorious life of a Christian

In today's post, let us examine what is meant by the statement:

THE VICTORIOUS CHRISTIAN LIFE IS WITHIN REACH  AND IS A POSSIBILITY FOR EVERY CHRISTIAN.

To experience the same victory of Christ, a person needs to make a decision to come to full knowledge of Gospel values and to live them. Christian values sometimes require us to walk the road of blind faith. Believing that all our sorrows and troubles are not in vain, but are a time of coming into a deep trust and hope in God. In reality a deeper dependence on God and His providence is required for all of our needs:
·                     whether spiritual---
·                     emotional—
·                     or material.
God has to be Lord of all areas of our lives.
When this wholeness is achieved, we can claim like St. Paul “It is no longer I that live but Christ that live in me”. (Gal 2:20)
This is the call of discipleship ---the call to become Christ Like- to share his victory—over sin and death ---to reach eternal life.

So the next time you might be having a tough time, why not remember this statement as a mantra to affirm yourself. You may wish to personalize it to' A victorious christian life is within reach and is a possibility for me'(or insert your name).  I can only say that using it as a mantra has been beneficial to me to keep me climbing my stairway to Heaven.
