Advent Year C Happy New Year

Advent Year C Happy New Year

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Today is the start of Advent- a New liturgical Year.

Advent is a time of hope and of waiting. We celebrate 3 key areas in Advent

·                     The coming of Christ and the waiting of Mary and Joseph for their child to be
born.  We too wait with them.
·                     We look forward in hope to the coming of Christ in our own lives.
·                     We look forward in hope to the coming of Christ at the end of time.

So one way we can look forward to these 3 aspects is to spend some time reading, pondering and acting on the Scriptures.

I have created for you a  suggested reading plan for this week.  Check it out  and see my Advent reading Plan for this week.  If you do not like these readings or they do not speak to you, devise your own plan.

Read.... Ponder.... and then Act.   That is the plan for this Advent for me.

                                What will YOU Do?

Well I better go and get ready for Mass.  I will post again later with the Opening Prayer.  Just wanted to touch base and say

                                       HAPPY NEW YEAR.
