SIA: Second Sunday of Advent

Today's Advent theme for the Second Sunday of Advent to ponder is:

Prepare the way of the Lord, 

make straight his paths.

So how might we create a Spirituality in Action (SIA) for today from this theme?

My suggestions are as follows:

•  Review our first week-what was our spriritual goal for Advent- how have we achieved it during the first week?  Resolve to do better during this coming week in this goal. 
• Prepare to make a good confession in Advent. If it is a while since your last confession, take time in preparing the way of the Lord.
• What paths need straightening in our lives? Name one of those paths and work on it this coming week.

Today, we light the second candle of the Advent wreath. With this candle we pray that the light of Christ will shine through us to everyone we meet. God's love never leaves us, and his gift of hope is always there for you.

How will the LIght of Christ sine through us this coming week?

Let us prepare the way of the Lord.
