He Is Not Here: He Is Risen |
Entrance Antiphon:
“Let all who fear God, both small and great, praise our God, for the salvation and power and authority of his Christ have come, alleluia.” (cf. Revelation 19:5; 12:10)
A
Universal Call to Praise
This
antiphon is a resounding invitation to all—regardless of status or
stature—to join in praising God. The phrase “both small and great”
emphasizes the inclusivity of this call, reminding us that in the eyes of God,
every voice matters.
The
reason for this collective praise is profound: “the salvation and power and
authority of his Christ have come.” This is not a distant promise but a
present reality. Christ's resurrection has ushered in a new era where salvation
is accessible, divine power is at work, and Christ's authority reigns.
Spirituality in Action
How
can I carry this antiphon into my day?
- Acknowledge
the universality of God's call:
Reflect on the diverse ways people around you express their faith and join
in praising God, recognizing the beauty in this diversity.
- Embrace
the present reality of salvation:
Consider areas in your life where you can more fully accept and live out
the salvation and authority of Christ.
- Engage
in communal praise:
Whether through song, prayer, or acts of kindness, find ways to
participate in the collective glorification of God today.
Short
Prayer
Lord
God,
You call all people, regardless of status or background, to praise You. Thank You for the salvation, power, and authority revealed in Christ. Help me to live in the joy of this reality and to join others in glorifying Your name. Amen.
