O God by whom we are redeemed and receive adoption,
look graciously upon Your beloved sons and daughters,
that those who believe in Christ
may receive true freedom
and an everlasting inheritance.
through Our Lord Jesus Christ Your Son,
who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God for ever and ever.
In making this prayer tangible, the following reflection questions emerged:
- What does it mean to me to be redeemed?
- What does it mean to me to receive God's adoption?
- Why do I believe in Christ?
- What difference in my life does my faith play?
- What would receiving true freedom from God mean to me?
- If I was to die today, what would hinder me from receiving my everlasting inheritance? Am I ready to receive it and not what do I need to change?
